About the Company
For nearly three decades, Gooden Homes has been designing and building award- winning homes in the Panhandle of Florida, and the coastal areas of Alabama.
Darrell Gooden started the company in 1980, building multi-family town homes. The company evolved into what it is today--averaging 300 single family home sales per year- with dedication and attention to detail and listening to what the customers want incorporated into their family homes.

Our People Are Professionals
Gooden Homes has an in-house staff of design professionals who apply leading-edge architectural styles and elements to develop homes that accommodate a variety of lifestyles. Our floor plan designs include Coastal Florida-style brick ranch designs called "The Designer Series" as well as mixed material exterior styles called "The Craftsman Series". Plans range in size from 1,600 square feet to over 4,000 square feet, and can be customized to the homebuyer.
Gooden Homes has a Customer Service department that employs state-of-the-art management software, capable of tracking each individual customer service request. The company takes great pride in ensuring that all customer service requests are handled with care and expedited in a timely manner. Since our initial membership into the Bonded Builder's Warranty Program, Gooden Homes has been awarded the Claims Free Award every year since 1996.
Gooden Homes' New Home Specialists are trained and licensed real estate professionals who are also local experts on the communities in which they work. They have extensive knowledge on the most current trends in the market and provide customers with all the kinds of information that helps new homebuyers become better acquainted with their new community and region.

It is Gooden Homes' vision to take the lead in a specialized niche of semi-custom service to the local communities. Rather than follow in the footsteps of larger companies that "Bigger is Better", we will stay focused on what we do best: develop great locations, design leading-edge architecture, and provide great customer service.
History of the Company
1980--Darrell Gooden founded Gooden Homes building his first home in Pensacola in Dunmire Woods.
1982--Copper Forest Community developed by Gooden Homes Land Development became the number one sales leader in Escambia County.
1988--Moved into the Pace area developing lots for Gooden Homes as well as other builders.
1992--Started developing lots and building homes in Lillian and Gulf Shores, Alabama.
1994--Moved into the Foley, Alabama area with single family homes.
1996--Joint-ventured development of Hammersmith gated community in Pace.
2003--Moved into the Daphne and Fairhope, Alabama areas.
2006--Moved into the Mobile area market.
2007--Started home site development and construction of first homes in an exclusive golf course community, Magnolia Grove Country Club.
